Monday Results: $240 Loss
Last 10 Days: LLLLLWLWLW
Overall Results (Since June 7): $5585 Profit
Bet One- Each Way- Ipswich Race Eight Number 7 Sweet Adaline:
I don’t think you can go wrong backing Sweet Adaline each way, provided of course we get an each price. She’s been a very consistent mare for Team Guy for a while now and continued that last time over the mile when closing off to run third to the in form Galtero. Good record at Ippy and should have room for improvement.
Suggested Bet: $25 E/W (Tote)
Bet Two- Win- Newcastle Race One Number 3 Shadow Bridge:
I like him but gee $2.90 is short enough. I’d be surprised if he starts any shorter. Mark Newnham trains this bloke who returns as a gelding after debuting over 900m here back May when down the track. Been gelded and has looked pretty good to the eye in a couple of trials. Should land on speed and prove hard to run down, but he’s too short at the moment.
Suggested Bet: $40 Win (Tote)
Bet Three- Win- Newcastle Race Four Number 3 Tippler:
I think the gap in the market between it and Galway Girl is too great IMO. Kris Lees trains this daughter of Pierro, who has finished third at her two career outings, the latest at Scone when working home strongly after being left flat footed on the turn. Blinkers on first time and Avdulla steering, happy to be with her on her home track.
Suggested Bet: $60 Win at $4.5 (Sportsbet)
Bet Four- Each Way- Kyneton Race Two Number 14 Paris Showgirl:
Henry Dwyer trains this filly and I think she’s worth an each way ticket. Was a month between runs when racing over the Ballarat mile last time where she got well back in the run and never really looked likely but was solid enough late when fifth to Nessuna Fiducia. Should only improve and I like her up in trip.
Suggested Bet: $25 E/W (Tote)
Bet Five- Win- Kyneton Race Seven Number 9 Pollinator:
I think she’s the bet of the day at the price. Darren Weir has this mare going really but I think an even bigger key is Dean Yendall. Three rides on the mare for two wins and a placing. Last start was over 2460m at Geelong and she absolutely lapped up the trip, winning by a space. Key to her is clear air so she can wind up. Should eventuate here and prove very hard to run down.
Suggested Bet: $100 Win at $3.3 (Sportsbet)
Total Spend: $300
