A big bet has been placed on the 2017 Melbourne Cup all-in market with the punter set to collect $170,000 if the bet comes off.
The punter with the TAB placed a $5,000 bet on Team Williams’ Crocodile Rock to win the Melbourne Cup at massive odds of $34.
Crocodile Rock will race in Saturday’s JRA Trophy at Flemington over 2500m where he is up against last years Melbourne Cup winner Almandin, so the race will give a very good guide to his chances come the first Tuesday in November.
