Punters are keen to back Avilius at the short odds in Saturday's Chelmsford Stakes
Avilius looks extremely hard to beat in the Chelmsford Stakes (1600m) this Saturday at Randwick and that’s reflected in early betting with Sportsbet.com.au for the mile contest.
The James Cummings trained galloper resumed in the Winx Stakes and found the line strongly late behind Samadoubt. Up to the mile looks ideal, fitter and appears hard to beat. He opened even money, got to $1.80 but has settled at $1.90.
Unforgotten, who was good late behind Samadoubt, is a $7 chance and has admirers after getting down to $6. Samadoubt also has fans in the market, in half a point from $9. They are the lone runners at single figures, with next best being Con Te Partiro at $12.
