Rey Magnerio set for Caulfield Sprint return amid strong short-course field
Rey Magnerio is poised to make his return in Saturday’s Group 2 Caulfield Sprint over 1000 metres.
The Griffiths and De Kock-trained flyer will be joined by several in-form rivals, with Nadal also a possible starter after being scratched again midweek due to a firm track.
Godolphin’s pacey gelding Pisanello is confirmed to run, with Jamie Melham taking the ride, while Austmarr, Don’t Hope Do, and Perilous Fighter add further speed to the line-up.
Rounding out the field are Rich Dottie, Stokke, and Tasmanian visitor Gee Gee’s Mistruth, in what shapes as a fast and fiercely contested sprint feature.
