Doomben Cup Information

The Doomben Cup is a Group l staying race and is the feature staying event of the Brisbane Winter Carnival. It is held at Doomben racecourse each year over 2000m and is a highlight of the Carnival.

The race is at Group l level and boasts a total prize pool of $650,000 and is at WFA.

The 2019 Doomben Cup will be run on Saturday the 18th of May, 2019 at Doomben racecourse.

The Doomben Cup is well placed given it follows up from the Sydney Carnival along with the Hollindale Stakes (1800m) at the Gold Coast a couple of weeks prior.

The Hollindale (1800m) is the best form guide towards the Doomben Cup. Since the turn of the century, nine winners have come through the Group 2 event at the Gold Coast.
