A horse at double figure odds has been the subject of heavy backing in Saturday’s $5m Caulfield Cup.
The Team Hawkes trained Master Of Wine has been heavily supported since the final field was announced on Wednesday and his early odds of $10 are long gone with the talented stayer now into $7.50 and vying for second favouritism in the race.
Master Of Wine who turned in a good run in the Turnbull Stakes behind Verry Eellegant was one of the early favourite for the 2020 Caulfield Cup but had eased out in all-in markets as it was thought he would struggle to gain a start in the race however he is in and punters are on.
Verry Eellegant remains the solid $5 favourite in Caulfield Cup odds with all-in favourite Anthony Van Dyck continuing to drift due to the big weight and wide barrier draw.
