The $2million dollar son of I Am Invincible ‘Faretti’ was heavily backed to upstage Golden Slipper favourite Tassort in the Group Two Silver Slipper Stakes but only managed to beat on runner home.
Faretti cost connections $2,000,000 at last years Magic Millions Gold Coast sales where he was the highest priced yearling over the three days of sales but he was a disappointment in his debut finishing sixth beaten over seven lengths from eventual winner Time To Reign.
Faretti was backed from $5.50 into $4.50 in the Silver Slipper and $26 into $15 for the 2019 Golden Slipper but the poor performance has seen him drift back out to $31 for the $3.5m grand final for two-year-olds.
