Highlights commitment to the Australian racing industry and reflects the ever-growing relationship between Dubai and Australia
Godolphin, the international racing stable founded by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, UAE Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, with 211 Group One (G1) winners since its inception in 1994, is to establish a permanent presence in Australia.
Australian trainer, John O’Shea, has been appointed Godolphin’s Head Trainer in Australia and the horses in his care will race in their prestigious royal blue silks from 1st August 2014.
The development signifies a serious and ongoing commitment to the Australian racing industry by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed and is reflective of the ever-growing relationship between Dubai and Australia – 360,000 more Australians have visited Dubai since the partnership between leading airlines, Emirates and Qantas, with Australia becoming the fastest-growing inbound market.

The whole team is delighted that the best horses will now race in the famous royal blue silks, not only here in Australia but around the world.”
The establishment of Godolphin in Australia will make it the largest horseracing operation in the southern hemisphere and increases its global footprint with operations in key racing markets across the world including the UK, Ireland, France, the USA, and Dubai.
