Anodin could try to emulate his famous older sister Goldikova in the Queen Anne Stakes at Royal Ascot following his second to Cirrus des Aigles in the Prix d’Ispahan at Longchamp.
The four-year-old is a full brother to the outstanding mare Goldikova, and like her, is trained by Freddy Head.
Goldikova won the Queen Anne in 2010 and was runner-up behind Canford Cliffs in 2011 during her glittering career.
Anodin had previously been unable to make his mark at Group One level, but after finishing a close second in Paris on Sunday, Head believes his charge may have earned a trip to Berkshire next month.
As he does not currently hold an entry in the Queen Anne, it would cost connections STG35,000 ($A63,886) to add him to the field.
“He is a horse I like very much,” Head said.
“I think he would prefer better ground and if we can teach him to settle a bit more, I think he could do very well.
“He’s a miler. I think the track at Ascot would suit him and hopefully he would get fast ground.”
Head also appears to have another top class filly on his hands in We Are who claimed her third win from as many starts in Sunday’s Group One Prix Saint-Alary.
The daughter of Dansili will be prepared for the Prix Diane, the French Oaks, at Chantilly.
Asked how We Are compares to Goldikova and his other multiple Group One-winning filly Moonlight Cloud, the trainer said it was too early to say.
“She is a filly with class, but whether she will be a real champion, we will have to wait and see,” he said.
