Sportsbet Australia have released their ‘catching the worm’ weekly segment and this week they focus on Tomorrow’s racing at Flemington including the Australian Guineas and the PFD Food Services Stakes.
Australian Guineas:
The Australian Guineas is the major drawcard on what is a relatively ordinary meeting at Flemington but having said that it is a great race. The two visitors, Playing God from Perth and We Can Say It Now from New Zealand, dominate the market and our traders are quite happy to go with the Perth horse.
Brett Prebble comes down from Hong Kong to take the ride and from barrier three should just carriedinto the race beautifully. He’s a WFA winner that will make it five in a row.
There is a big question mark over the New Zealand form of We Can Say It Now who won over the mile by beating Mandela, who is as old as his namesake. Our traders are also prepared to pot Under The Eiffel. Never convinced that an afterthought is the
right decision around a big race and at his first try at 1600 metres is a risk.
Southern Speed would have been top pick, but from barrier twenty it’s hard to have her in. Anacheeva has the blinkers back on so can’t be left out as well as Enjin Number Nine who’s last run was a definite forgive run, while the best at odds is Eclair Surprise. It wouldn’t be a shock if he does.

PFD Food Services Stakes:
Race Five is a Group Three race where punter’s can build a bank for the much tougher Guineas. Aloha is a five letter word meaning hello or goodbye in Hawaii and Aloha can say hello to the other runners at the barrier and then goodbye when they open.
There has already been good money for her, she won three on end before going for a spell and at the set weights and penalties is a “moralâ€. Dane Julia is good second up and her best is good enough to be in with a chance but she is running for second. Flying Tessie is in the market place but without a fast pace and at the same weight as the favourite is a’ lay’.

ATA/BOB Hoysted Handicap:
Race Seven is a skinny race with Master Harry back from Sydney and looking tocontinue on his winning way. He is already proven down the straight and our traders are certain he is the horse to beat.
Biggest danger is Secret Flyer who will appreciate the drop back to 1000 metres and has the back in-form Damien Oliver aboard. Ou Traders are happy to lay Winter King who while talented, needs the sting out of the ground to be most effective and won’t have that on Saturday.
