So You Think will face just five rivals in Saturday’s Irish Champion Stakes at Leopardstown.
Aidan O’Brien’s Aussie import has won three of his four starts in Europe, with his only defeat coming at the hands of the ill-fated Rewilding in the Prince Of Wales’s Stakes at Royal Ascot.
Since then he has lowered the colours of Workforce in the Eclipse at Sandown and looks the one they all have to beat this weekend.
He will be ridden by Seamie Heffernan.
His main market rival is Ed Dunlop’s well-travelled filly Snow Fairy, who was a late withdrawal from the Yorkshire Oaks and was prevented from running in France due to a technicality.
She was some way behind So You Think in the Eclipse but shaped much better when chasing home Midday in the Nassau.
O’Brien also runs three-year-old Roderic O’Connor, who has had a hit-and-miss season which has involved winning the Irish Guineas but disappointing in the French and Irish Derbys. He will be ridden by Joseph O’Brien.
He will also be joined by stablemate Recital who has not been seen since finishing sixth in the Derby to Pour Moi. Colm O’Donoghue takes the ride.
Kevin Prendergast’s Dunboyne Express and Dermot Weld’s prolific winner Famous Name complete the sextet.
