Grands Crus heads a stellar cast of nine entries for the Feltham Novices’ Chase at Kempton on Boxing Day.
David Pipe’s talented grey has made a big impression in winning both his starts over fences this season since being switched from hurdling.
However, the six-year-old has not scared off the opposition for the Grade One contest over three miles (4800m).
His potential rivals include Nicky Henderson’s game Newbury winner Bobs Worth while champion trainer Paul Nicholls has easy Wincanton scorer Silviniaco Conti.
The other possibles are the Martin Keighley-trained Champion Court, Sue Smith’s Mr Moonshine, the Jamie Snowden-trained Graduation Night, Tim Vaughan’s Saint Are, Rebecca Curtis’ Teaforthree and Emmaslegend from Suzy Smith’s stable.
