Metal Bender resumes in Saturday’s Warwick Stakes

Chris Waller trained Metal Bender will resume from a 3 month spell in Saturday’s Group 2 Warwick stakes.

Metal Bender resuming from a win in the 2010 Doomben Cup will be looking to kick off his Spring Campaign with a win over 1400m in Saturdays Warwick Stakes.

The 5YO Gelding is currently at $7.50 in the TAB Fixed odds market, with the $2.90 favourite Danleigh also being the best backed runner in the race. Trainer Chris Waller wont be expecting the son of Danasinga to win the race but will be hoping for a big effort in his first lead up race for the Spring.

The 4 time Group 1 winner looks to be the classiest runner in the race although will be looking for a jump in distance to be at his best with Saturdays race expected to be 200-600m too short shown by a 9th in his last run over 1400m in the Group 1 All Aged Stakes won by Hot Danish.
