Secret Indulgence, raced in the same ownership as Black Caviar, may have her first metropolitan start on her home track on Saturday.
While Black Caviar goes for her 21st straight victory in the Group One $500,000 The Goodwood (1200m) at Morphettville, Secret Indulgence is engaged in a $70,000 fillies and mares handicap over 2000m at Caulfield.
The three-year-old filly is nicely-bred, being by boom stallion Fastnet Rock and is a half-sister to Victoria Derby winner Amalfi.
She has had four starts at the provincials and broke through for her first win last start when trainer Peter Moody stepped her up in distance to 1900m in a three-year-old maiden race at Geelong on April 27.
Secret Indulgence romped in by 4-3/4 lengths from Vincente when second-up from a spell, indicating that there are better wins to come.
She races in similar colours of salmon and black but while Black Caviar sports black spots, Secret Indulgence carries black diamonds.
Honest mare Placement, from the Danny O’Brien stable, heads the weights with 60kg ahead of last Saturday’s Flemington 1700m winner Gail (55kg) and Manila Jewel (54.5kg) with the rest of the 22 nominations on the minimum 54kg.
Also on the Caulfield program is the second heat of the All Victorian Sprint Series over 1100m in which the Mick Kent-trained Philda heads the weights with 60kg ahead of Spacecraft, Shock Value and Secret Flyer, all weighted on 58kg.
The Moody-trained mare Curtana has 57kg.
