A Rosehill victory to either of the Berry twins on Inglis Classic day will give the talented jockeys even more reason to celebrate their 21st birthday.

Nathan and Tommy Berry both have a ride in Saturday’s $250,000 Inglis Classic (1200m) as they look to mark their milestone day with success on the racetrack.

“We felt like we celebrated our birthday last Saturday because I flew up to the Gold Coast straight after the races in Sydney and we had a great night,” Nathan Berry said.

Tommy Berry had earlier that day won the $2 million Magic Millions Classic at the Gold Coast aboard Driefontein after a successful protest against No Looking Back.

“But if either of us could get a winner on our birthday on Saturday it would be a great thrill,” Nathan added.

Nathan rides the Matthew Dale-trained Single In Paris in the Inglis Classic while Tommy will be on the Gai Waterhouse-trained first starter Snippetsboy.

Snippetsboy has been installed the $2.90 favourite with TAB Sportsbet and a victory would continue Waterhouse’s outstanding season with the stable’s two-year-olds.

Snippetsboy could become the seventh individual Sydney two-year-old winner for Waterhouse this season after the successes of Pierro, Pure Hustle, Driefontein, No Looking Back, Raceway and De Shamekh.

Waterhouse also snared the Magic Millions quinella last weekend.

“I’ve ridden him (Snippetsboy) in work a few times and he’s working nicely,” Tommy Berry said.

“I spoke to Nash (Rawiller) about him and he said he trialled quite well the other day.

“If you line him up with Gai’s other two-year-olds he’s probably not with the top of them but he’s not far off them, so he’ll give it a shake.

“I’d be happy for even just one of us to get a winner on Saturday, it would give us something even more to celebrate.”

Single In Paris is at $51 in Inglis Classic betting with the barrier draw not aiding the Not A Single Doubt gelding’s prospects.

“I’ve drawn 14 on Single In Paris so that slims my chances a bit, but I’ve got a couple of quite exciting horses on the way up that I’m really looking forward to riding on the day as well,” Nathan Berry said.

His rides include the Craig Carmody-trained Single who is favourite in the Vinery Stud Handicap (1800m) and also the Guy Walter-prepared Al Dhafra who runs in the Blackwoods New Catalogue 2012 Handicap (1400m).
