Champion Black Caviar won’t be making the trip to Hong Kong this year but her regular jockey Luke Nolen has been lured.
Nolen has been selected to take part in the 2011 Cathay Pacific International jockeys’ championship at Happy Valley on December 7.
The annual event will be Nolen’s first taste of riding in Hong Kong where he will be one of 12 jockeys representing nine different countries.
Nolen is best known for his partnership with Black Caviar and is also the reigning Melbourne jockeys’ premiership winner.
New Zealand whiz kid James McDonald has also snared an invite for the four-race series, along with Melbourne Cup-winning jockey Christophe Lemaire.
Champion rider Douglas Whyte will again represent Hong Kong while Ireland’s Johnny Murtagh and Britain’s Ryan Moore are among the others taking part.
