The Tramway Quality Handicap is a Group 3 race for horses three years and over. This event is run over 1400 metres at the Randwick Racecourse in Sydney, on the same day as the Group 2 Furious Stakes and Group 2 Chelmsford Stakes. With a history that stretches back to 1886, the Tramway Handicap is one of the longest running horse races in Australia.

The Tramway Handicap has had a few changes over its long history, being run in 1886 over 7 furlongs and evolving from there. This race was a listed race between 1979 and 1983, before it was changed to a Group 3 event in 1884.
