* The race has been won by star fillies such as Sheraco (1982), Research (1989), Slight Chance (1993), Alcove (1994), Champagne (1998), Savannah Success (1999), Special Harmony (2004), Serenade Rose (2006) and Miss Finland in 2007.
* Research went on to win the 1989 AJC Australian Derby and AJC Oaks while Alcove also collected the Oaks and Danendri was second to Ebony Grosve in the Derby before winning the Oaks.
