Today’s race meeting at Kyneton has been abandoned after overnight rain made the track unsafe for racing.
The track was rated a heavy 8 on Monday but after unexpected 14mm of rain, surface water was found near the 800-metre mark during a race day inspection by stewards early on Tuesday.
Stewards declared the track unsafe and there was no time to transfer the 10-race meeting to Geelong’s synthetic track.
