The Peter Snowden-trained Induna has been the best-backed horse to win tomorrow’s Victoria Derby with online bookmaker sportsbet.com.au
Induna firmed from $7.50 just after the Geelong Classic into $5.50 after the final field was announced and is now into $4.80, while long-time favourite Manawanui has eased from $2.30 out to $2.70 in the past two days.
“Manawanui may just be too good for them, but there has to be a question mark over whether he can get the 2500 metres, whereas it looks like Induna can run all day,” sportsbet.com.au’s Haydn Lane said.
“Induna has been backed from $7.50 after the Geelong Classic into $4.80 now, with the biggest bet so far being $7,500 each way at $5.00.”
Sportsbet.com.au has set the line for the crowd for Derby Day at 108,000.
