Jockey Lisa Cropp has been given a suspended sentence after testing positive to a banned substance on Oaks day last month.
Racing Victoria stewards on Tuesday found Cropp guilty of having tested positive to Zopiclone in a random drug test.
Cropp, who did not inform stewards of the prescribed medication, admitted to taking Zopiclone which is used as treatment for insomnia.
Racing Victoria steward Brett Wright issued Cropp with a one-month suspension, but said the penalty would be stayed for 12 months.
Cropp was stood down at Sale races last Wednesday.
Wright said Cropp could resume riding when the elective sample she provided last Thursday was cleared by the Racing Analytical Services Laboratory.
She has taken three rides at Kyneton on Thursday.
A multiple Group One-winning jockey and premiership winner in New Zealand, Cropp served a lengthy suspension after a drawn-out inquiry into a positive swab taken at Te Rapa in 2005 which revealed the presence of methamphetamine.
Cropp, who has also suffered serious injuries over the years including a broken neck, resurrected her career in Victoria in late 2010.
She is 13th in the Victorian premiership with 31 wins this season.
