The first of the group races at Flemington Racecourse on Saturday is the 2010 Let’s Elope Stakes over 1400m, in what looks to be a very open field, the early market favourtism has been given to the group 1 placed Lady Lynette whom has opened at $4.60.Lady Lynette is coming off an impressive 3rd place finished in the group 3 Cockram Stakes and the extra 200m looks to suit. The Robert Smerdon trained Filly hasnt won a race since taking out the group 3 Independant Cranes Stakes at Moonee Valley last year but looks to fair quite well in Saturdays race and has opened at $4.60.
The very impressive son of Charge Forward ‘Response’ is on the second line of betting at $5 and will be looking to go one place better this week after a 2nd place finish in Cockram Stakes, Mathew Ellerton & Simon Zahra feel there is lots of improvement left in the 4YO Mare who is only lightly raced and should figure in the placings.

Other runners in the market are Queensland Derby winner Dariana $7 who will be resuming after a 3 month break and is looked to be headed towards the cups, group 1 winner Irish Lights whom ran 5th in the Cockram Stakes after jumping awkwardly and Mont Fleuri $9 who will be stepping up in class after winning a Fillies and Mares HCP at Caulfied.
