13 Channelling (Bet Now: $13.00) appeals for Ed O’Rourke after her Midway effort two weeks ago here, sitting back off speed and kept chasing in a pretty good effort in defeat behind Attractiveness. Getting towards peak fitness and up in trip, she takes beating.

3 Doradus (Bet Now: $3.50) comes to Midway grade off the back of a win at the midweeks at Canterbury, leading throughout and gave nothing else a look in to win well. Good test here but hard to knock the way he’s racing at present.

5 Orange Tsunami (Bet Now: $18.00) was finding it hard to win a race but he’s flying at present, winning two on the bounce. Maiden win was in style at Goulburn before an impressive display at Kembla Grange. He’s in form, likewise the stable, he takes beating against these.

5 Xtreme (Bet Now: $5.50) is hard to beat for Paul Snowden after a narrow second two weeks ago here, hailed as the winner when he booted clear but condition gave out and he was nabbed late. Better for the run, he takes beating against these.

6 Zalique (Bet Now: $4.40) is 2/2 this time in for Matty Dunn. Impressive win in a maiden fresh during the Grafton Carnival before proving that was no fluke with a win at the midweeks at Doomben. Fresh legs into this, he appeals.

4 Whateley (Bet Now: $16.00) was several weeks between runs when racing over 1300m here two weeks back in the Highway and tried hard but condition just gave way. Better for the run, can settle closer, he’s dangerous at odds.

3 Aethelwulf (Bet Now: $1.35) needs to keep winning but if he does…could he be a Metropolitan horse? He’s heading in the right direction because he spanked them at the midweeks at Canterbury last time and loved the way he went in a trial last week. If he holds his form, he wins.

4 Shiny New Deel (Bet Now: $21.00) is three weeks between runs since racing over 1800m at Caulfield Heath. He was near the speed and tried hard but just felt the pinch late. He was 1400m to 1800m and second up so with good upside/improvement, he can run an improved race.

5 Kenmare Bay (Bet Now: $14.00) was a forgive I thought behind Concordia Wind two weeks back here. Race shape was against him and he couldn’t quite quicken sharp enough. That said, he was far from disgraced. Dangerous if he can be within range.

4 Scripted (Bet Now: $3.60) steps up to 1500m after resuming over 1200m at Randwick three weeks ago. She found them a bit sharp early but kept chasing and was quite good in defeat. Hard horse to follow and trust because the ability is there but she hasn’t quite put it together. If she brings her best, she can win.

6 Transcend (Bet Now: $3.80) threw the race away two weeks ago here. She should have won but wanted to lay in badly under pressure late, heavily bumped into Mind Ya Bizz and lost the race in the Stewards Room. Working progress this mare…I think she has borderline Stakes ability but mentally isn’t there. If she puts it together, she goes awfully close.

1 Beside The Ocean (Bet Now: $6.50) just looked in need of the run when resuming two weeks back here. She was beaten for early speed and while she was never a winning threat, her finale was sneaky good I thought. Fitter, she runs well against these.

2 Mr Miller (Bet Now: $1.95) is Group class. Just a matter of when. Whether it’s this prep, the Autumn, not sure, but he’s a rocket. He beat up an average bunch last Wednesday at Warwick Farm but the way he went about it was rather impressive. Fitter, up in trip, bigger track, I think good luck beating him.

11 Stagnum (Bet Now: $9.00) steps up to 1500m after racing over 1400m here two weeks ago, getting off speed and kept chasing in a pretty good effort in defeat behind Barbaric Lad. If he can settle closer in the run, he’s dangerous.

7 Wrathful (Bet Now: $126.00) is a Chris Waller trained gelding that resumes. His last run came on April 22 when tailed off last at Canterbury, pulling up lame. Given a good break, he’ll spot them a start but be strong late.

4 Kimberley Secrets (Bet Now: $6.00) is a ripper for Nick Olive. She landed on speed at this track/distance last start and tried hard but just felt the pinch late behind Polyglot. Good racing style, she’ll take running down at a likely decent price.

Think you can make a genuine case that 7 Street Artist (Bet Now: $3.20) wins here two weeks ago. Just got too far back, then badly held up before eventually getting clear and savaged the line late to just miss. More positive racing style this time around and I think he goes awfully close.

8 Pokerjack (Bet Now: $27.00) comes back to 1100m after racing over 1200m three weeks back at Randwick when leading and tried hard but felt the pinch late behind Exit Fee. Good racing style, like him back in trip, knockout hope.

11 Savvy Diamond (Bet Now: $27.00) is a horse on the up. Strong debut winner at Goulburn before racing here a fortnight back and kept chasing in a really good effort in defeat behind Steel Will. Fitter, can settle on speed, he appeals.

6 Plagiarism (Bet Now: $7.50) was met with market support two weeks back here when resuming. He attempted to lead throughout and tried hard but condition just gave out. Fitter, lands in front, he’ll take running down.

3 Southend (Bet Now: $17.00) is a nice horse for Ryan/Alexiou that resumes. He ended last prep with a midfield effort in the Champagne but did look a tired horse. Given a good break and looks to have trialled up very well so watch betting.

Are we underestimating 3 Music Time (Bet Now: $12.00)? He was excellent last season, winning the Black Opal before a ripping effort in the Slipper. Loved his recent trial and I think he is very much suited at 1100m vs some of these, who may want further.

1 Guest House (Bet Now: $6.50), on paper, is the best horse in the race…just not sure where he is at? I thought his trial behind Warwoven, to my eye, was quite average. He was asked for an effort and was solid, but he didn’t have the flashing light of returning in beast mode. That said, he has the runs on the board to say he commands respect.

4 Warwoven (Bet Now: $7.50) is a smart colt that resumes for Bjorn Baker. Things just didn’t go to plan for him towards the end of last prep after looking a star early on. Given a good break and his trial work indicates he’s well and truly here to play.

3 Fully Lit (Bet Now: $4.20) did more than enough when third to Althoff here a fortnight back, being first up. He tried his guts out but condition just gave out late. Fitter, good racing style, he’s one of the hardest to beat.

7 Althoff (Bet Now: $1.90) can be a serious Epsom contender with a win here. He was an arrogant winner two weeks ago here, giving his rivals a start and a proper beating in an impressive performance. Repeats that here, likely wins.

9 Torque To Be Sure (Bet Now: $15.00) was solid enough behind Eagle Express two weeks back. He got off speed and seemingly had his chance but that said, he kept chasing and was far from disgraced. Getting towards peak fitness, not dismissing.

2 Grand Impact (Bet Now: $1.60) is flying for Price/Kent and is one of the hardest to beat after his track/distance second two weeks ago, trying hard from off speed but just found Eagle Express a touch too good. Better for the run given he had several weeks off, he appeals.

4 Cosmic Fire (Bet Now: $10.00) is a Queensland raider for Billy Healey that comes here off the back of a down the track effort at Doomben four weeks ago, but I do think had genuine excuses. If he brings his best, he is capable.

5 The Three Hundred (Bet Now: $8.50) is a GaiBott trained gelding that resumes. He is first up, having not raced since May 23 when down the track on testing ground at Randwick behind God’s Window. Looks to have trialled well, will press forward and run a positive race I say.

LONG SHOT: Race Six Number 4 Kimberley Secrets
