TEN months after winning the inaugural All-Star Mile, Mystic Journey is an $8 equal favourite at TAB to win this year’s $5 million All-Star Mile, which will take place at Caulfield on Saturday, March 14.
The Adam Trinder-trained pride of Tasmania secured her passage in last year’s All-Star Mile at Flemington by winning the Australian Guineas at Flemington two weeks prior to the first running of the world’s richest mile race.
Kolding – victorious over a mile in the Queensland Guineas and Epsom Handicap last year – and 10-time Group 1 winner Melody Belle share favouritism with Mystic Journey at $8.
Alligator Blood, raging favourite in this Saturday’s Magic Millions 3YO Guineas and beaten by the barest of margins in last October’s Caulfield Guineas, is currently rated an $11 hope.
Catalyst has won five of his six starts including an effortless victory in last November’s 2000 Guineas at Riccarton over 1600 metres and is also an $11 chance.
