The Ken Keys trained Spanish Reef continued to show her liking of Flemington with another win at the track.
Spanish Reef was returning from a spell after a disappointing run in the Cranbourne Cup where she finished at the back of the field but today’s win suggests she has improved with the break.
The $12,500 purchase from the Patinack Farm Complete Dispersal Sale had no favours throughout sitting wide without cover but her class prevailed with a dominant win in a strong Fillies and Mares race.
Spanish Reef is now likely to head to the Group 3 Matron Stakes at Flemington over 1600m in three weeks time.
