Punters are keeping their cards pretty close to their chest when it comes to the one of the features at Flemington on Tuesday, the Standish Handicap (1200m).
Darren Weir holds the aces to the event with a couple of leading chances, headed by favourite Whispering Brook, who is pretty solid at around the $4.80 mark. She holds the call over stablemate Theanswermyfriend, who is at $5.50 and has firmed from $6.50 so he’s been the best backed.
There has been a nibble for Illustrious Lad, who bounced back to form with a win at blacktype level at Morphettville last time. He’s an $8.50 chance and has firmed a point after drawing well.
