3 Storm Runner (Bet Now:  $SP.00) comes back to 1800m after racing over 2200m here three weeks ago. He got into a decent spot in transit and tried hard but couldn’t quite get there, getting another placing. He is bursting to win and I do think this race looks well within reach.

7 Beauty Missile (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is several weeks between runs since racing over the mile on the Sha Tin dirt. He got into a decent spot in transit and was there to win but just whacked. Better suited here I feel and despite the tricky gate, he commands respect.

9 Mah Way Wai Wai (Bet Now:  $SP.00) ran midfield over 2200m here in the race mentioned above, won by Star Brose. He got into a decent spot in transit but didn’t quite run the trip out. Better suited here, he’s a knockout hope.

3 Run Run Smart (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is the straight bat play. He attempted to lead throughout three weeks ago at this track/distance. He gave a strong kick from the front but just didn’t quite see it through. Good racing style and with front end control, he’ll take running down.

6 Loving Vibes (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is a key threat. He ran in a different track/distance race from three weeks ago, placing in a race that produced a quicker overall time than several lengths. Map is tricky but he has to be respected.

5 Big Return (Bet Now:  $SP.00) ran down the track in the same race Run Run Smart contested. He got off speed and was never really a factor in a plain effort. He has talent. Just needs luck and a drag into the race.

12 Ace War (Bet Now:  $SP.00) should be taking care of these. Four weeks between runs since a track/distance placing when off speed and kept chasing with purpose in a good effort in defeat behind the in form Corleone. Maps perfect, Purton on, he’ll take a power of holding out.

1 Fortunate Son (Bet Now:  $SP.00) ran third to Corleone in the race mentioned above. He tried hard and looked to have his chance but just couldn’t quite get there. Tricky draw but hard to knock the way he’s racing.

2 The Azure (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is capable. He ran two weeks back at this track/distance where he got back to near last in the run and while he was never a winning threat, he was okay late. If he can settle closer and be within range, he’s dangerous.

6 Mega Bonus (Bet Now:  $SP.00) on top but not really a race I want to be involved in. He attempted to lead throughout three weeks ago at this track/distance, giving a decent sight but tired late. I think with a more patient steer, he’ll be far more effective.

1 Fatal Blow (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is a two time track/distance winner and is in the mix after his effort a fortnight back here, doing early work from the wide gate and just couldn’t sustain the run. Tricky draw again but is dangerous with his best.

8 Cap Liner (Bet Now:  $SP.00) steps up to 1200m after racing four weeks back over 1000m here. He got back off speed and made up minimal headway. I do think a rise to 1200m suits and a tick over trial was pretty good.

1 California Moxie (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is on top for me, and clearly. He is three weeks between runs since a track/distance win, giving them a start and a beating in a very impressive display. Only has to repeat that effort here and I think he’ll be winning once again.

9 Superb Guy (Bet Now:  $SP.00) ran third to California Moxie in the race mentioned above. He got into a decent spot off speed and tried hard but just lacked the finale when third. Maps ideally to settle closer and be effective l

4 General Redwood (Bet Now:  $SP.00) should be better for the debut run, which came over 1200m at Sha Tin where he found them a bit sharp but wasn’t too bad. Up in trip I do like, good upside…he’s a threat at odds.

2 Flying Wrote (Bet Now:  $SP.00) looks to have returned well and is one of the hardest to beat. He resumed four weeks ago at this track/distance when off speed and worked home with purpose when second. Tick over trial was good, maps ideally and will be effective late.

1 Superb King (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is having his first look at 1200m after all career runs have come at 1000m, the latest being a few weeks back when off speed and kept chasing without threatening. Good upside, less exposed than most, he appeals.

7 Smart Fighter (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is several weeks between runs since resuming at this track/distance. He did early work from the wide gate and the hard run just told. Good upside, he can threaten with a better run in transit.

5 Eternal Fortune (Bet Now:  $SP.00) each way. He is three weeks between runs since racing at this track/distance. He landed in a decent spot in transit and tried hard but just couldn’t quite go on with it. He has a kind map, claim, he’ll do me each way.

2 Horsepower (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is several weeks between runs since racing down the straight at Sha Tin when gallant in defeat but held behind Stellar Express. Tick over trial was quite good and this race isn’t overly deep.

3 Red Elegance (Bet Now:  $SP.00) loves this track/distance and can bounce back. He got off speed at Sha Tin last start and kept chasing in a pretty good effort in defeat. Back to 1000m at Happy Valley, he’s in the mix.

2 Spicy Gold (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is the way I am leaning. He has been freshened up since Nov 26 at this track/distance behind King Miles. He got into a decent spot in transit and tried hard but just couldn’t quite finish the race off. Like him on the fresh side and he strikes a winnable race.

1 Triumphant More (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is four weeks between runs since a track/distance win, giving them a start and a beating in such an impressive effort. He needs to overcome the draw but if he does, he can win.

6 Charming Babe (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is two weeks between runs since racing at this track/distance. He got off speed and was never really threatening in a plain run. He’s hard to catch but his best is more than good enough to threaten.

11 Solid Win (Bet Now:  $SP.00) each way in the get out. He is four weeks between runs since racing at this track/distance. He just got too far out of his ground but I did like the way he finished his race off. Has a gate to settle much closer in the run and be effective late. He’ll do me each way.

3 King Lotus (Bet Now:  $SP.00) has done little wrong this time in and commands respect. he ran third at this track/distance on Nov 26 when near the speed and tried hard but just couldn’t quite get there. Consistent animal that is rarely far away and is one of the leading contenders.

10 Fantastic Fun (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is three weeks between runs since racing at this track/distance. He got a fair way out of his ground and made up some headway without threatening. If he can settle closer and be within range, he can threaten at odds.

BEST BET: Race Five Number 1 California Moxie

NEXT BEST: Race One Number 3 Storm Runner

LONG SHOT: Race Nine Number 11 Solid Win
