Star colt Exceedance will not line-up in Saturday’s Group One Caulfield Guineas with connections opting to freshen the horse for the Coolmore Stud Stakes.
Exceedance was an eye catcher in the Golden Rose running third behind Bivoauc and Yes Yes Yes with the decision on whether the horse would head to the 1600m Caulfield Guineas this Saturday or the 1200m Coolmore Stud Stakes left until this afternoons.
The Golden Rose trifecta are all set to head in the direction of the Coolmore rather than the Guineas this weekend.
Exceedance was $7 in Caulfield Guineas odds before the announcement.
