Former attorney general Michael Duffy has been appointed chairman of the Australian Racing Board.
Duffy, who is the chairman of Racing Victoria, fills the ARB position left vacant by the resignation of Bob Bentley.
A member of the House of Representatives from 1980 to 1996, Duffy has been a director of the ARB for the past five years.
The ARB is made up of representatives from the principal racing authorities around the country and administers the Australian Rules of Racing.
