Magic Millions horses caught in traffic following crash

Horses including the odds on Magic Millions Guineas favourite Alligator Blood are among those caught in traffic on their way to the Gold Coast racecourse following a truck crash on the M1.

Traffic is at a stand still on the M1 which is used by many trainers heading to the Magic Millions raceday from the Sunshine Coast including David Vandyke who trains the $1.70 (Ladbrokes) Magic Millions Guineas favourite Alligator Blood and it will be a race against time to get on course prior to the running of the race.

Vandyke has told stewards the horse will arrive late with a decision whether Alligator Blood will be allowed to run at the discretion of the stewards depending on the time he gets to the course.
