The prize money for rising spring star Navy Pilot has been placed on hold, with the colt still registered under the ownership of a company tied to a convicted money launderer.
Trained by Ciaron Maher, Navy Pilot was narrowly beaten in Saturday’s Poseidon Stakes at Flemington and remains entered for both the Golden Rose and the Caulfield Guineas.
While his second placing earned $31,700, Racing Victoria has confirmed no funds will be released to owners Phoenix Thoroughbreds.
