One of the key races at Eagle Farm this Saturday is The Q22 (2200m), where the market says the Doomben Cup is the A1 form reference.
Down below is a speed map, runner preview and $100 betting strategy for The Q22 2026.
The Q22 2026 Runner Preview:
1. Half Yours: To me, this prep has confirmed he’s not a WFA horse, and yes, big tick he gets to 2200m, but the runs back tell me he’s not up to this level and I am hard against.
2. Vauban: I could honestly mark 2 Vauban odds on here. I think he is just a good thing. Pretty much resumed in the Doomben Cup and was fabulous in defeat, closing strongly when third to Birdman. Fitter, bigger track, rain affected track, he’ll be strong late…good luck beating him.
3. Knight’s Choice: Would not shock me at all if he ran well. Sneaky good run two weeks ago, clocking good late splits…I think he’s on track, and a must for exotics.
4. Asterix: Just fair in the Doomben Cup and looks up against it.
5. Militarize: If he wins, too good, but he turned it up last start and 2200m has to be a big query.
6. Kovalica: Kovalica ran last in the Doomben Cup. He got into a decent spot off speed I thought but when asked, he whacked and was never a threat. Hit and miss but in a race like this, he’s dangerous at a price.
7. Royal Supremacy: Not here at WFA for mine.
8. Zambardo: Got the talent to measure up but did last run take it out of him given it was truly run? If he runs up his Champions Stakes effort, he can be dangerous.
9. Pounding: Flying without winning, suspect that will continue.
10. Pride Of Jenni: Pride Of Jenni is having a look at 2200m here, I dare say as a farewell to 2000m+ races because I have no doubt that 1600m is her sweet spot. She tried her guts out in the Doomben Cup but couldn’t withstand Birdman. She’ll lead and give an almighty sight.
11. She’s A Hustler: Was keen on her running well in the Doomben Cup and she was one of the first beaten. Pass.

As we say when Pride Of Jenni is involved…she leads, by as far as she wants…who will be the sacrificial lamb?
