The James Cummings trained mare Varda is favourite with Sportsbet.com.au for the Hawkesbury Gold Rush (1100m) this Saturday.

The mare resumes after a mixed prep when last in work but has trialled well in readiness for her return. $3.90 was first put up and touched $3.50, but is now at $3.70.

The early firmer has been Embracer for the WaterBott team. Opened $7.50 and is now into $6.50 off the back of a couple of impressive trials. Adelong has had interest, into $13 from $16.
