Punters have backed a couple of runners with confidence that they will figure prominently in the Angus Armanasco Stakes (1400m) this Saturday at Caulfield.
Counterplay was a beaten odds on pop when resuming back home at Morphettville but ran some cracking races at Caulfield during the Spring. There is support to suggest she will run well, into $8.50 from $10.
The other well backed runner is the Mick Price trained See Me Exceed, who comes back home after racing down the straight last time at Flemington. She opened $8 and has been supported, into $6.50.
Favourite for the race is Smart Coupe, who was luckless when racing in the Kevin Hayes, is easy, opening $4 and now sitting at $4.50.
