As a major lead up race to the Golden Rose many of the runners will be looking to secure their spot in the field, Saturday’s Silver Shadow Stakes looks to be a relatively open race with the current favourite “Solar Charged” opening at $3.20.The 3YO filly trained by John O’Shea “Solar Charged” is coming off a 2nd in the 2010 San Dominico Stakes behind Obseqious and will be looking to go one better on Saturday. Solar Charged opened at $3.20 yesterday but has been easy with her current price being $3.30 after support for other runners.

Other horses that have received support have been Obseqious who has been solid at the $4.40 mark, More Strawberries which has also stayed solid at its opening quote of $6.50 and Ambers Waltz who has been the second best backed runner to take out the $75,000 winners cheque.
