Prince Of Wales’s Stakes 🏆: View the Field and Odds for the Prince Of Wales’s Stakes
Race 1. (23:30) Queen Mary Stakes 1006m
Leaning towards 26 Victorious (Bet Now: $SP.00). 2/2 for Aidan O’Brien, the latest being a Group lll win at Naas when finishing best in a driving go to score over 1200m. I think class has got her home to win at 1200m and IMO is much better suited at 1000m to my eye. Like her here.
22 Senorita Bonita (Bet Now:Â $SP.00) was a dynamic debut winner at Nottingham two weeks ago, giving them a start and a beating, producing a brilliant finale from off speed to nail them on the peg. Better for the run, think she can settle closer and be effective late.
17 More Champagne (Bet Now:Â $SP.00) is an interesting runner. American filly that debuted at Keeneland, leading throughout over 1100m in an impressive effort. In recent years, these American juveniles have been junk, but she looks a nice one, so watch betting.
Race 2. (00:05) Queen's Vase 2847m
Aidan O’Brien doesn’t send them around at Royal Ascot for the sake of it so with that I will go each way with 8 Port Of Spain (Bet Now: $SP.00). He did enough I thought when resuming at Newbury over 2000m, getting back in the run and made up okay headway. I think the trip is fine, good upside to come and this isn’t an overly deep contest for mine.
4 Limestone (Bet Now: $SP.00) is 2/2 this time in for Joseph O’Brien. Impressive all the way win fresh at Cork before taking a sit and being even more impressive at Navan at Listed level. That was over 2600m so the extra furlong is fine and he has the runs on the board.
6 Mr Colonel (Bet Now:Â $SP.00) ran third in the Chester Vase last time and I think you can make a case that with clear air, he goes close. He was building into the race nicely but just got stopped in his tracks and pretty much lost all momentum. Dangerous here if he gets room to move.
Race 3. (00:40) Duke Of Cambridge Stakes 1609m
5 Catalina Delcarpio (Bet Now: $SP.00) is humming this time in and confident she can measure up. She won at Listed level at Leopardstown last start, giving them a start and a beating in an impressive effort, getting better as the race went on. Much harder here, but the way she’s racing, she’s top seed for me.
10 Friendly Soul (Bet Now: $SP.00) was 5/5 leading into her return at Haydock when on speed and looked to be going well but stumbled, lost stride and Oisin pulled her up. She’s a very good horse and if you can forgive last start, she’s in the mix.
8 Falakeyah (Bet Now: $SP.00) comes back to the mile after racing over 1800m at Newmarket last time when leading, rolling in front and set up a margin but got the staggers to finish down the track. Back in trip suits and if she can harness her energy, she’ll run a forward race.
Race 4. (01:20) Prince Of Wales's Stakes 2004m
I think we could see something special with 3 Daryz (Bet Now:Â $SP.00). Arc winner that looks to have returned with an absolute bang in 2026, going 2/2 and each win showcasing change up speed of being a world class animal over shorter trips, not just at 2400m. Very confident he can measure up and stamp himself as one of the best in the world.
Class got 6 Ombudsman (Bet Now: $SP.00) home at Sandown last time. He had the suck run near the speed and was there to win, put them properly away. But, he did have to dig in late to fend them off and win. He’s hard fit and has the runs on the board to be respected.
8 See The Fire (Bet Now:Â $SP.00) has earned a crack at this sort of race. Loved the way she let down to win last start, finding when on speed and was strong to the line in scoring. A win would surprise but for exotics, she has to be included.
Race 5. (02:00) Royal Hunt Cup 1609m
I think there is a great bet here at a massive price and I speak of the former Aussie galloper, 9 Henlein (Bet Now: $SP.00). He went within a lip of winning a Group l in Australia but was a keen going horse. Sent back to the UK, resumed a few weeks ago at Haydock and again, was very keen in the run, which took something away from his finale. I actually thought he ran very well. I think if he can relax in the run, he’ll run a beauty at a massive price.
18 Erzindjan (Bet Now:Â $SP.00) was an impressive first up winner at Newmarket, giving them a start and a beating in a strong return and impressive win. Good upside to come and big tick for him is getting Ryan Moore aboard.
13 Jagged Edge (Bet Now: $SP.00) was somewhat unwanted in betting when resuming at Naas but it mattered not for him because he was electric from off speed, giving them a beating after sitting back. If he runs up to that effort here, he’ll run a beauty.
Race 6. (02:35) Kensington Palace Stakes 1603m
Going to have another throw at the stumps here in the shape of 23 Quamby (Bet Now: $SP.00). She is still a maiden but that doesn’t truly reflect the ability she has. Did a super job here two back at this track/distance before going to Lingfield, stepping up to 1800m, and was good from the back. She’ll be strong late, right down in the weights…only runs well at a price.
10 Alobayyeah (Bet Now:Â $SP.00) is a key chance. She resumed at this track/distance in the same race that Quamby contested, with Alobayyead running third. She got off speed, was keen, but worked home with real purpose in a good effort. Better for the run, she appeals.
15 Oolong Poobong (Bet Now:Â $SP.00) ran fourth last year in the Sandringham last year. She resumed at Thirsk when ridden quiet off speed and was good late without threatening. Better for the run, good upside to come, she appeals.
Race 7. (03:10) Windsor Castle Stakes 1006m
20 Controlla (Bet Now:Â $SP.00) for me in the get out. She was unwanted in betting when debuting at Naas but she defied the $26 SP and ran a beauty in defeat behind Victorious, who I like in the Queen Mary, so I think the form will be strong and she has the 1200m run under the belt.
17 Sergei Diaghilev (Bet Now: $SP.00) commands respect for Aidan O’Brien. Impressive debut winner at Curragh, knuckling down with purpose from off speed to wear them down and get the win. Stable has a great record in this race, he’s a leading contender.
16 Sale Shark (Bet Now: $SP.00) was a debut winner at Hamilton and I thought was pretty good the way he went about things. He tracked the speed before being clicked up and away he went to win and win well. Maps to get a sweet sit, he’s in the mix.
