I like 1 Changcheng Sparkle (Bet Now:  $SP.00) here. Thought he was an eye catcher on debut two weeks ago over 1200m, getting back to near last in the run but worked home with real purpose late in the piece. He’ll be within range and I think will have too strong of a finale.

6 Jedi Spurs (Bet Now:  $SP.00) looks the clear pick of the first starters. David Hayes trained gelding that debuts off extensive trial work and has looked quite strong to my eye. He should land near the front and only run well.

7 Quantum Wukong (Bet Now:  $SP.00) was another eye catcher from that debut two weeks back over 1200m in the race mentioned above. He too got a mile out of his ground but loved the way he found the line. Just has to get the start right and he’s dangerous.

9 Viva Chaleur (Bet Now:  $SP.00) for me. He ran second to Robot Knight on May 6, sitting just off speed and loomed large to win but just couldn’t quite get there. Knocking on the door, tick over trial was good, he rates highly for me.

3 Robot Knight (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is several weeks between runs since a track/distance win, sitting on speed and finding plenty under pressure to fend them off and score. Good racing style and off a win, he commands respect.

12 Verbier (Bet Now:  $SP.00) comes back to 1200m after sitting on speed over 1400m here last time. He gave a decent sight from there but the end of 1400m from on speed just found him out late. Better with a bunny to chase I find, he’s an improver.

12 Prestige Hall (Bet Now:  $SP.00) for me. He ran over 1200m here a couple of weeks ago where he was back near last in the run but made up a stack of headway late in a really good effort in defeat. If he can get a drag into the race, he can launch over the top.

4 Sky Deep (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is on the six day back up after racing last Sunday over 1200m here when first up. He just looked in need of the run and that is how it panned out. Fitter and up in trip, good upside to come, he’s an improver for sure.

10 Massive Reward (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is one for exotics. His last run was four weeks back over 1200m here on a shifty track where he was never a factor. Tick over trial was pretty good, he could pinch first four at a big price.

Landed with 6 Absolute Honour (Bet Now:  $SP.00). Three weeks between runs since a placing at this track/distance, sitting just off speed and tried hard when second to Romantic Fantasy. Purton rode last start and good lead for this horse and his fans is that he sticks.

2 Enthralled (Bet Now:  $SP.00) comes back to 1800m after racing over 2000m here two weeks ago. He got back from a tricky gate and worked to the line strongly when a narrow second to Double Win. Maps to settle closer and should be strong late.

1 Charity Together (Bet Now:  $SP.00) ran down the track in the race mentioned above won by Double Win. He got a fair way out of his ground and while he was never a winning threat, his finale was more than sound. If he can settle closer, he’s dangerous.

1 Juicy Dragon (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is the one to beat for mine. Several weeks between runs since a track/distance win, sitting off speed and was trucking before being clicked up by Atzeni and away he went to win and win well. Tick over trial was sharp, he’s in form and this looks a race well within reach. Keen.

5 One Man Show (Bet Now:  $SP.00) ran second over this track/distance on May 6. He landed on speed and thought he was there to win but had to settle for a second to California Bay. Good racing style and should be around the mark.

11 Topspin King (Bet Now:  $SP.00) was terrible at this track/distance on May 6. He had a suck run in transit just off speed and tried hard but was beaten a long way. Been hit and miss but when he has trialled, he looks to have talent, so I am not entirely dismissing.

7 Polar Patch (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is knocking on the door. He ran over this track/distance last Sunday where he got a fair way out of his ground but really liked the way he finished his race off in defeat when third. If within range, he has the finale to overhaul them and score.

11 Gorgeous Victory (Bet Now:  $SP.00) ran third two weeks ago at this track/distance when off speed and worked to the line pretty well in defeat I thought. Purton takes over and hopefully can use the gate to advantage to settle a fraction closer.

2 Ghorgan (Bet Now:  $SP.00) comes back to 1400m after racing over the mile at Happy Valley. He was keen in behind the speed and while I think it took something away from his finale, I thought he did have his chance. Back in trip is fine, he’s a first four contender.

3 Superb Spirit (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is the top seed for me. He is four weeks between runs since a win over this track/distance, getting the suck run in behind before angling clear and finished best to win and win well. Tick over trial was good, kind map, he’s the one to beat.

6 Lucrative Eight (Bet Now:  $SP.00) ran second to Superb Spirit in the race mentioned above. He landed on speed and thought he was there to win but just found one better. Good racing style, knocking on the door, he commands respect.

8 Lean Flyer (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is a son of Dirty Work that debuts. He has had extensive trial work to get ready for start one and for mine has looked not too bad. Good enough to win? Probably not, but a first four prospect.

5 Max Que (Bet Now:  $SP.00) to bounce back. He ran several weeks ago in the Members Cup at this track/distance when off speed and did make up headway but was never really threatening behind Sky Jewellery. Much better suited here IMO, trialled well since and prior efforts were quite good.

3 Packing Angel (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is a couple of weeks between runs since racing over 1800m at Happy Valley. He got dragged back from the wide gate but made up good headway late. Has a gate to settle much closer and be strong late. Leading chance.

2 Soleil Fighter (Bet Now:  $SP.00) was down the track in the same Happy Valley race mentioned above. He was in a decent spot near the speed but failed to finish his race off and was a tad plain late in the piece. Maps well, claim, not dismissing.

1 Victory Sky (Bet Now:  $SP.00) looks hard to beat here in what is a two horse race IMO. He resumed at this track/distance several weeks ago when off speed and chased with purpose in the straight in a good effort when second to Blazing Wind. Kind map, rider upgrade, tick over trial was good, hard to hold out.

2 Blazing Wind (Bet Now:  $SP.00) won that race mentioned above. He sat on speed and found plenty under pressure to fend them off and get the job done in impressive fashion. Went sharp in a recent trial win and Purton sticks.

5 Lucky Planet (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is around two months between runs since a down the track effort at Happy Valley. He landed in a decent spot near the speed and tried hard but couldn’t quite finish the job. Soft draw, he’s one for exotics.

2 Endued (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is finding it hard to win but he is a model of consistency. He ran two weeks ago at this track/distance, trying hard from off speed but just couldn’t quite get there when second to Family Jewel. Bursting to win a race and I think this is well within reach.

8 Big Return (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is three weeks between runs since a track/distance win, giving them a start and a beating in an impressive effort. Good test here against likely types but hard to knock the way he’s racing at present.

9 Quantum Legend (Bet Now:  $SP.00) steps up to the mile after racing over 1400m here on May 9 when off speed and chased well but did seemingly have his chance behind Baby Sakura. Tick over trial was pretty good and good lead that Purton sticks.

14 Conrod Patch (Bet Now:  $SP.00) each way for me in the get out. Three weeks between runs since a win over 1200m here, getting better as the race went on and really surged late under Williams to score. Harder here but should love 1400m and with good upside to come, clearly appeals here.

3 Super Express (Bet Now:  $SP.00) comes here with fresh legs, having not raced since April 19 over 1200m here when on speed and tired late behind Gold Patch. Think he’ll be better with a bunny to chase and his trial work since has been quite good.

2 Akashvani (Bet Now:  $SP.00) ran over this track/distance three weeks back when on speed and he tried hard but just couldn’t quite see it through and tired late. He has a good racing style and his best is clearly good enough to give this a shake.

BEST BET: Race Seven Number 3 Superb Spirit

NEXT BEST: Race Nine Number 1 Victory Sky

LONG SHOT: Race Eleven Number 14 Conrod Patch
