Renowned trainer Gai Waterhouse is charging ahead with her ambitious plans for the upcoming spring racing season, undeterred by a recent knee injury.
With a strong stable at her disposal, Waterhouse is eyeing a dominant presence at Victoria’s opening Group 1 meeting. The centerpiece of her strategy is the prestigious $1 million G1 Memsie Stakes at Caulfield.
Alligator Blood, a four Group 1 winner since joining the Waterhouse and Bott stable, is set to make a fiery return as he takes on the Memsie Stakes, where he currently sits as a $5.00 chance with Ladbrokes.
Adding to the excitement, White Marlin will return in the Listed Heatherlie Stakes, guided by experienced jockey Tim Clark. Meanwhile, Melbourne Cup hopeful Goldman is primed for a comeback in the G2 Feehan Stakes a week later, with jockey Jordan Childs at the reins.
