Group One winning jockey Dean Holland has been fined by Racing Victoria stewards for striking a horse when being loaded into the barriers at Ballarat earlier this month.
Dean Holland pleaded guilty to a misconduct charge for striking the Julie Scott trained Telemarketer in the vicinity of the head at a Ballarat meeting on August 11th.
Holland was fined $1000 for the incident with stewards taking into account his guilty plea, remorse for his actions, his good record and the manner in which the horse was acting in the barriers.
