Daniel Stackhouse suffers multiple rib fractures in fall

The Victorian Jockey’s Association has confirmed the injuries suffered by Daniel Stackhouse in a fall at Kilmore on Thursday.

Stackhouse was airlifted to hospital from the track where scans revealed he had suffered broken ribs on both the left and right side, as well as a small liver bleed and small pelvis fracture.

Fellow jockey Dean Holland also hit the ground in the incident, but he was able to walk back to the jockey’s room before being stood down for the rest of the meeting after complaining of soreness.
