Champion 2YO Filly of Australia main contender, AWAY GAME, has proven such an iron horse since she started racing, that trainers Ciaron Maher & David Eustace are raising the stakes.

She is set to take on open company at Gr 1 level.

Not 2YOs this time, but high quality fillies and mares at G1 level in the Robert Sangster Stakes.

Maher tweeted the news this morning.

He said that Away Game (Snitzel-Elusive Wonder) and winner already of $2,721,800 from her 7 starts to date, will carry just 47kg.

β€œI’ve already booked Dean Holland to ride her. She’s an iron filly.”

Away Game won the Magic Millions Classic in January, was runner-up in the G1 Golden Slipper and last week easily won the G2 Percy Sykes at Randwick – all over 1200m but all against her own age.

The Robert Sangster is 1200m at WFA and is set to be run at Morphettville on 2 May.

It’s worth $600,000 and was won by Sydney mare SPRIGHT last year.
