Last years Blue Diamond Stakes winning jockey Michael Walker is heading into this years edition of the race as bullish as what he was 12 months ago.

Michael Walker will ride the Cindy Alderson-trained two-year-old Jigsaw in the G1 Blue Diamond Stakes on Saturday where he is a $15 chance in betting with Sportsbet.

Walker thinks the colt has drawn an ideal barrier to get the run of the race behind red hot favourite Enthaar and get the last crack at her.

“I think from barrier four, I would love to get a nice sit behind Enthaar and a few others and get out late,” Walker told Racing.com.

“I really, really think he will sprint. We have been doing that in his work. Cindy and her team have done a tremendous job.

“I worked him Monday and I am as bullish as I was last year with Tagaloa.”

Walker has ridden Jigsaw at both his career outings with the colt scoring an impressive six length win on debut at Moe before a third placed finish behind the well backed General Beau and Anamoe in the Blue Diamond Prelude.
