Two TAB punters enjoyed watching Verry Elleegant claim her fifth Group 1 victory in yesterday’s TAB Turnbull Stakes at Flemington after their pre-post multis paid off handsomely.
On September 21, one TAB customer placed $5000 at $12.50 on Russian Camelot to win the Underwood Stakes at Caulfield on September 26 and Verry Elleegant to win the TAB Turnbull Stakes, which has resulted in a $62,500 collect.
Another TAB punter placed $4000 at $12.50 on Russian Camelot to take out the Underwood Stakes and Verry Elleegant to be triumphant in the TAB Turnbull Stakes, which secured a $50,000 collect.
Russian Camelot is currently the $1.60 ‘Pre Nominations’ favourite for Saturday’s Caulfield Stakes, $3.20 favourite for the Cox Plate at The Valley on October 24 and $7 favourite for the Melbourne Cup at Flemington on November 3.
Verry Elleegant firmed from $11 to $8 outright favourite at TAB for the Caulfield Cup on October 17 after winning the TAB Turnbull Stakes.
