Rubisaki stretched her winning streak to six races in the James H.B. Carr Stakes

Rubisaki received 72 percent of the win hold but drifted from as short as $1.50 to $1.80

One TAB punter placed $10,000 at $1.70 on Wednesday minutes after betting opened

Raceday bets included $10,000 at $1.80$7,000 at $1.75 and $6,000 at $1.50

The unplaced Rocha Clock tightened on raceday from $10 to $6 second elect

Backers of Kinane celebrated after landing a terrific plunge in the Frank Packer Plate

King’s Legacy displayed the toughness from the Inglis Sires’ to win the Champagne Stakes

King’s Legacy hardly budged from the $2.60-$2.70 mark and closed $2.70

Late bets of note included $11,000 and $5,000 at $2.70

Third placegetter Ole Kirk was $4 out to as much as $4.80 on raceday; closed $4.60

Runner-up Glenfiddich ($18 to $31 on raceday) almost caused a boilover

In a close finish, Life Less Ordinary nabbed Greysful Glamour late in the JRA Plate

Early backers rejoiced as well as Greyworm opened $14 on Wednesday

Runner-up Trekking eased in raceday betting from $4.80 to $6

Third placegetter Kementari also drifted on raceday from $4 to $4.80

Most punters failed to land the winner of the last race with Ranier an upset victor

Ranier drifted noticeably on raceday from $13 to $26

One TAB punter showed faith placing a $1,000 wager at $26 on Ranier

Unplaced favourite Military Zone shortened from $6.50 to $4.60 on raceday

Runner-up Phaistos hovered around $4.60-$4.80 for most of raceday; closed $5

The plunge on Cuba ($19 to $9 on raceday) failed to materialise

Dealmaker ($12) was the third placegetter

Twitchy Frank accounted for 55 percent of the win hold on the VOBIS Gold Distaff

Something Silver ($26) and Pure Scot ($13) were the minor placegetters

Race 3

Favourite punters were left lamenting after Pippie was unplaced in the VOBIS Gold Sprint

Pippie opened $2.15 on Wednesday, touched $1.85 on raceday before closing $2

65 percent of the win hold was on Pippie with $6,000 and dual $5,000 bets at $1.95

Vainstream was specked late from as much as $14 to $11

Street Icon ($23 to $71 on raceday) and Teleplay ($15) were the minor placegetters

Odds-on favourite Mr Quickie was unable to reel in Sentimentalist in the VOBIS Gold Heath

So Si Bon rewarded patient backers with his first win since last August in the VOBIS Gold Mile

So Si Bon was backed from $5.50 to as short as $4.20 before closing $4.60 favourite

Third placegetter Iconoclasm was rock solid on raceday closing $5 after $5.50 was offered

The unplaced Mahamedeis shortened on raceday from $7.50 to $5.50

Street Sheik ($18) was the runner-up

Race 6

Khoekhoe produced a devastating burst in the last 100 metres to claim The Showdown

In an open affair, Khoekhoe drifted from $11 to $14 on raceday

Runner-up River Night was backed from $7 to $5.50 favourite on raceday

William Thomas flew down the outside in the last 200 metres to win the Bel Esprit Stakes

Runner-up Humma Humma was also supported late from as much as $9 to $6.50

Third placegetter Coruscate eased slightly late in betting ($7.50 to $8.50)

Punters continued to find the going tough with Lankan Star winning the VOBIS Gold Dash

Favourite Knowles ($4.40-$3.70-$4) and Sartorial Splendor ($12-$7) were unplaced

In another blowout result, $61 chance Florent saluted in the VOBIS Sires’ Guineas

The Tony Noonan-trained filly Florent drifted on raceday from $31 to $61

Third placegetter Affair To Remember was $4.20 to $3.50 on raceday (touched $3.10)

Bets of note included $15,000 and $8,000 at $3.30 plus $5,000 at $3.10
