Caulfield racecourse will host a rare Wednesday meeting this week in which we see the running of the $250k Blue Sapphire Stakes as well as the Ladies Day Vase and the italktravel Stakes. The day usually hosted the Thousand Guineas but that was run on the Saturday for the first time with MRC deciding to continue with the Wednesday meeting without its accustom feature race.
