1 Miss Aria (Bet Now:  $SP.00) should appreciate a rise in trip after resuming two weeks ago in the Rubiton where the race shape was against her but I really liked the way she closed off in defeat behind impressive winner Rey Magnerio. Fitter and up in trip, more positive ride, she can take this out.

3 Pondalowie (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is a Team Browne trained mare that comes here with fresh legs, having not raced since Jan 25 in the Adams at Sandown when back in an on speed domination and although she made up ground, she was never a winning threat. Liked the way she closed off in a trial behind I Wish I Win and back to this level, she takes beating.

2 Mrs Chrissie (Bet Now:  $SP.00) has to be given another look. On paper, she was plain in the Adams but given Philosopher when a tick over 32 for the last 600m in winning, those behind had zero chance of getting involved, including Mrs Chrissie. Back to Caulfield, where she loves, she can improve out of sight.

7 Don’t Hope Do (Bet Now:  $SP.00) has an engine under the hood for Simon Zahra and commands respect. He was a break between runs when racing three weeks ago at Sandown when off speed and worked to the line well enough in defeat behind Mighty. Fitter, he appeals.

11 Chinqui (Bet Now:  $SP.00) comes to Saturday grade for Team Freedman off the back of a win on the Heath track last Monday, leading throughout and gave nothing else a look in to win and win well. Looks to land on speed, getting a beaut run, and is a key chance.

2 Beast Mode (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is a short course specialist and is dangerous with his best. He was second up over 955m at The Valley where he was run off his legs and just couldn’t quite get involved behind all the way winner Unflinching. More positive ride, his best is good enough to win.

5 Emphasize (Bet Now:  $SP.00) could potentially put his hand up for the NZ Derby with a win here. He’s progressive and heading in the right direction, winning two on the bounce, firstly at Sale before a strong win here last time against the older horses. Back to his own age, he takes beating.

3 Entrusting (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is hard to beat off the back of a win over this trip at Sandown three weeks ago, giving them a start and a beating, knuckling down with purpose late in the piece to win narrowly but impressively. Leading contender against this lot.

2 Imperialist (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is a very interesting runner. He was scratched from a much weaker race at Warwick Farm on Wednesday in preference for this. His last run at Canterbury, he just lacked change up speed but I really liked the way he closed off in defeat. Like him up to 1800m and a win wouldn’t shock at all.

1 Lofty Arch (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is an Alex Rae trained three year old that resumes. He is first up, having not raced since Oct 19 here when a dominant winner of the Gothic and looked every bit a good horse when winning. The stable are thinking he could be a lightweight Newmarket contender…if that is the case, he has to be winning this, and with three jumpouts under the belt, there is intent here first up to my eye.

3 Polyglot (Bet Now:  $SP.00) takes beating here for James Cummings. He is third up after racing over 1200m at Rosehill three weeks ago when back off the speed and tried hard but just couldn’t quite get there when third to Art’s Alive. That followed an arrogant first up win. He’s a leading contender.

2 Tropicus (Bet Now:  $SP.00) should improve for the first up run after resuming in the Manfred a few weeks back when near the speed and fought hard but just had no answers late for impressive winner Royal Insigna. Fitter, has a touch of class on his side, he appeals against these.

For mine, the one that is here to play is 2 Too Darn Lizzie (Bet Now:  $SP.00). Fresh for GaiBott and her trials in Sydney…gee they have looked sharp and fresh at 1400m for her signals clear intent. Hoping she can find the top, get front end control and take beating on the dry deck.

1 Treasurethe Moment (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is the class of the field and class will carry her a long way despite having eyes on races later on. She resumes after a fab Spring, highlighted of course by a dominant triumph in the Oaks. Jumpout work has been good and has class.

9 Jenni The Fox (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is dangerous back to her own sex. Her maiden win at Cranbourne was stunning before going to the Autumn Stakes when thrown in the deep end and she didn’t disgrace herself in defeat behind Angel Capital. Like her back to this level and is a leading chance.

4 Semana (Bet Now:  $SP.00) looks the winner. Ciaron Maher trained mare that comes through the CF Orr when ridden cold from the wide gate but I really liked the way she closed off in defeat behind Another Wil. Think she’s better ridden with a touch more intent so if that eventuates, she takes beating.

6 Coeur Volante (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is a few weeks between runs since resuming in the Bellmaine at Sandown when off speed, ridden with a sit, and did work home well enough in defeat but was never really threatening behind impressive winner She’s Bulletproof. Tick over jumpout last week, they rode with intent and won well. Keen to see how she goes, ideally with a positive ride.

8 So Glamorous (Bet Now:  $SP.00) should appreciate getting to 1400m after resuming three weeks ago in the Bellmaine when off speed and kept finding the line in defeat in a good return behind impressive winner She’s Bulletproof. Her best from the Spring is good enough and stable is flying.

1 Mr Brightside (Bet Now:  $SP.00), all things equal, has a bit on these I feel. He comes through the CF Orr where I thought he was given a 12/10 steer by Williams and looked all over the winner when presented but just found Another Wil too good in the run to the line. Fitter, he’ll be stronger late…keen on his prospects.

2 I Wish I Win (Bet Now:  $SP.00) has runs on the board to command respect but you’d have to think he is heading towards D Day and whether he can maintain this high level. He wasn’t 100% in The Everest but even still, he was really poor there when running last. Given a break, his two jumpout wins…have been solid without jumping up and down, but he does love the Caulfield 1400m.

4 Tom Kitten (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is a beauty for James Cummings that resumes. He hasn’t raced since the Golden Eagle where he ran an absolute blinder in defeat but just couldn’t quite get there when a close up third to Lake Forest. He does go well on the fresh side and his trial work has been pretty good.

8 The Playwright (Bet Now:  $SP.00) will jump on the bunny and take running down, as seen in the Widden at Rosehill where she led throughout and credit to her, she was there to be beaten but found under pressure to fend them off and win, keeping in mind she carried the weight penalty. Back to set weights, leads, will only run well.

1 Field Of Play (Bet Now:  $SP.00) has to be given serious respect off the back of the Prelude win two weeks ago. He was on speed and trucking before being clicked up and away he went to win and win well. He was off a break there and was back in trip so back up to 1200m, fitter, he’ll be strong late…takes beating.

14 Cherish Me (Bet Now:  $SP.00) looks a ripper for Ciaron Maher. She has been kept on ice since a debut win in the Geelong Diamond where she gave them a start and a beating to win quite impressively. Form out of that race looks to be solid and moved well in a tick over jumpout at Caulfield. Looks to be spot on for this and should be strong late.

10 Sghirripa (Bet Now:  $SP.00) will an absolute beauty here in search of Oakleigh Plate redemption. He was well fancied in this race last year but was very good against the pattern. He didn’t quite go on with it afterwards but has been given a good break with this race in mind and his trial win at Morphettville…they don’t go much better. He’ll rock and roll, only run well.

1 I Am Me (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is here to rock and roll and for mine is very hard to beat here vs the Lightning last Saturday. She resumes for Ciaron Maher and looks desperate for that Group l. Perhaps it is a blessing they missed the Lightning because they face a weaker field here, she gets her firm deck, likes Caulfield…clear threat.

3 Golden Boom (Bet Now:  $SP.00) has been kept on ice for Tony Gollan, having not raced since The Goldmarket when an all the way winner at the Gold Coast, showing good fight late to fend them off and get the job done. He does look a short course specialist and the stable should be respected when they come to Melbourne.

1 Deny Knowledge (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is the class factor and I’ll bank on that class getting her home fresh. She resumes, having not raced since the Champions Stakes where she was a tired horse, finishing down the track behind Via Sistina. Jumpout work has been solid enough and fresh at 2000m, potentially with eyes on the Australian Cup, tells me she takes beating here.

10 Shaiyhar (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is a model of consistency and commands respect. He ran over this track/distance a fortnight back when off speed and although a bit on the one paced side late, he kept finding the line and was solid enough in defeat. Should be around the mark again.

9 Touristic (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is the one that creates interest. This gelding was the subject of a strong market push when racing here two weeks back but after getting a fair way out of his ground, he was never really a factor behind Garachico. That was his first run in a few weeks so with room for improvement, he can threaten.
