Ten races have been set down for Sha Tin on Sunday, where the depth looks pretty good across the program.

4 Circuit Fiery (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is the way I am leaning but not a whole lot of confidence in the opener. Chris So trained gelding that resumes, having not raced since June 28 over this track/distance when second to Gallant Crown, trying hard but just couldn’t quite get there. Purton booked fresh and the recent trial was pretty good.

2 Windicator Family (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is a son of Press Statement that resumes for David Hall. He is first up, with his last run coming over the mile at Happy Valley when off speed and worked home well enough but was never really threatening. Trial last week here was more than enough and he does get in very well after the claim.

8 Island Golden (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is dangerous with his best and fresh at 1400m I see as a signal of intent. His latest run July 5 over 1200m at Sha Tin when having blood in the trachea in a total forgive. He does tend to race well fresh and his recent trial was a sharp piece of work.

1 Only U (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is the straight bat play. Son of Proisir that resumes, with his last run coming on July 13 when back in the run but worked home strongly in the straight when third to Raging Rapids. Looks to have trialled really nicely and gets Zac Purton for the return.

4 Oriental Surprise (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is on the seven day back up after resuming over 1200m last Sunday here. He got off speed and worked home well enough without threatening when fourth. Like him up to 1400m and he does have the run under the belt.

5 Cashiscash (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is a son of Capitalist that resumes for Doug Whyte. He is first up, having not raced since June 8 at Sha Tin when seemingly getting the decent run in transit and just whacked in the run to the line. Maps to do no work and be effective at the end. Knockout hope.

Keen to be with 4 Gimme Five (Bet Now:  $SP.00), who resumes for Frankie Lor. He ended last season on a high, bolting up at this track/distance when leading throughout and giving nothing else a look in. Looked sharp in a trial placing last week here and with his racing style, he’ll take running down.

1 Blazing Wind (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is a Danny Shum trained gelding that resumes. He is first up, having not raced since June 22 at this track/distance when held up behind the speed, lost momentum and I thought was entitled to finsih a tad closer. Given a good break, trialled well and gets Zac.

2 Tai Victory (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is a Mark Newnham trained gelding that resumes. He is first up, having not raced since June 28 over this track/distance. He attempted to lead throughout but was one of the first beat and tired late to finish down the track. Maps ideally from the draw and his best is good enough.

6 Better And Better (Bet Now:  $SP.00) for me. Frankie Lor trained gelding that hasn’t raced since July 16 at Happy Valley when getting a decent enough run in transit but just whacked in the run to the line. Given a break, looks to have trialled well and another that gets Zac to steer.

1 Sugar Ball (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is a Deep Field trained gelding that resumes. He was consistent towards the end of last season, his latest run being third over 1400m here. Fresh at 1400m I don’t mind for him, trialled well enough and despite the tricky gate, he commands respect.

10 Winning Machine (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is a Danny Shum trained gelding that is first up. He had two runs towards the end of last season. Both came over 1200m here when fair first up but was a bit plain last start and was spelled. Liked a recent trial from him, watch betting.

2 Forerunner (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is the way I am leaning. Son of Almanzor that resumes, having not raced since July 5 over 1400m here when off speed nad kept finding the line in defeat when third to Endued. Recent trial was more than encouraging and he should be strong at the end. Hard to beat.

4 Max Que (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is a Mark Newnham trained gelding that resumes. His last run was June 8 over 1400m here. He got a fair way out of his ground but liked the way he kept chasing in defeat behind Star Satyr. Trialled up very well last Thursday and has a strong record at this track/distance.

7 Simple Hedge (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is a son of Sebring for John Size that is first up. Last run was July 1 at this track/distance. He got back to near last in the run and while he was never a winning threat, he kept chasing and was pretty good late. If within range, he has the finale to be dangerous.

Like 1 Sea Emerald (Bet Now:  $SP.00) here. Son of Grunt that has been strong in two career outings, being runner up on debut before a solid fourth in what has turned out to be a hot form race. Didn’t mind the recent trial and maps to do no work in the run. He’s the one to beat.

8 Groovy Feeling (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is on the seven day back up after a frist up win last Sunday at this track/distance, giving them a start and a beating in a pretty impressive performance. Can settle closer in the run and be effective late.

3 Fit For Beauty (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is a son of Vanbrugh that is on debut for John Size. You have to go back to May 16 when he first trialled and overall has had six trials to get ready for start one, so the grounding is well and truly there to say he’ll run well on debut and despite the wide gate, watch betting.

11 Lightness Of Music (Bet Now:  $SP.00) looks the good thing on the card. Son of Press Statement that debuted at this track/distance on June 22 when landing near the speed before being clicked up by Zac and away he went to win and win quite well. Good test here, but confident he measures up and is the one on the up.

2 Majestic Express (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is first up for John Size and is dangerous for sure. He does have a pretty good record down the straight, which was the scene of his last run on July 1 when fourth to We Are Hero. Likely spots them a start but should be strong at the end.

9 Metro Power (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is an interesting runner. David Hayes trained gelding that is first up, with his last run coming on July 13 over 1200m here when down the track behind Celestial Hero. Like him down the straight and prior efforts were more than sound. Watch betting.

1 Tourbillon Golfer (Bet Now:  $SP.00) just has to overcome the wide gate and he’s the winner. Cosmic Force four year old that was runner up in both career runs during the Winter to start his career, each race seeing him sit near the speed and was game as ever in defeat. Trialled super for the return. Just needs to overcome the gate.

3 Good Fortune (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is an improver. He debuted last Sunday at this track/distance where he was near the speed throughout and tried hard but just couldn’t quite get there when fourth to Spicy Standard. The gate is tricky but has the run under the belt and the run was encouraging.

7 Sunny Sing Spirit (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is first up and is a sneaky chance of an upset. He had three runs to start his career in the latter part of the Autumn and for the most part, wasn’t too bad each time he stepped out. Trial was a leg stretcher and although he’ll spot them a start, he should be strong at the end.

10 Mr Energia (Bet Now:  $SP.00) rises to Class 3 from Class 4 but he’s progressive and is right down in the weights. He resumes for David Hall, having not raced since July 5 over this track/distance when getting the sweet sit in transit just behind the speed before angling clear and was dominant in the run to the line. Loses Zac but has trialled sharp and gets weight relief. Happy to be in his corner.

6 Solid Shalaa (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is a son of Shalaa that is first up for David Hayes. He reusmes, having not raced since July 5 over 1400m here when attempting to lead throughout and gave a strong kick from the front but the end of 1400m just found him out late. Two trials under the belt signals intent and back to 1200m I like.

5 Dragon Air Force (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is first up and is a threat with his best. His last run came on the Sha Tin dirt over the mile on June 28 at Sha Tin when back in the run and made up decent headway but was never really threatening. He has a fab track/distance record.

5 Endeared (Bet Now:  $SP.00) for me in the get out. He last run on July 5 over 1400m here when back near last in the run but really liked the way he finished his race off in defeat behind Beauty Crescent. He’s had two trials under the belt to get ready for the return so there is intent. Just hope he can be within range.

2 Superb Kid (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is a son of Sebring that resumes. He last raced on July 13 at this track/distance when dragged back from the wide gate and while he was never a winning threat, he did make up ground and was pretty good late. Trialled well, he’s a key threat.

4 Joy Of Spring (Bet Now:  $SP.00) is a Casper Fownes trained gelding that resumes after ending last prep on a high with a couple of wins over 1800m, firstly at Happy Valley before coming here. Trialled well last week and although 1400m is short of his best, he commands respect.
