Watch 📺 Shane Warne’s horse loses jockey in run as short priced favourite

Shane Warne fans across the country this afternoon tuned into the second race at Ipswich to cheer on the ‘King Of Spins’ horse Sacred Oath who jumped as the skinny $1.26 favourite although there was no fairy tail win.

Shane Warne’s horse, SACRED OATH (Sacred Falls – Berg En Dal), seemingly with the weight of everyone’s expectation on his young shoulders, hit the running rail after going 150m, after being hampered by The Grey Panther, then stumbled badly  and dislodged the rider, Ryan Maloney.
It was a tragic watch for the increased numbers watching on, as the nation rallied behind the death of S.K. Warne and chose to make this race their own little mark of respect.
An avalanche of bets flooded in to corporate bookies across the land and Sacred Oath, who was uninjured from the drama, started at $1.30, touching $1.20 at one stage!
He was backed as if nothing else had a chance.
After he fell, he took off circling the field 8-wide and finding the lead. He stayed there until straightening where Tesaura took over and drew clear.
TESAURA (Testa Rossa – Dame Destiny) raced away to win the race and punters were left holding their now token tickets.
It was an action-packed race, as you can imagine something to do with Warnie would be.
As they crossed the line Karl Zechner came off his mount Carlisle Eksplodes too.
Maloney received immediate treatment on the track and was injured.
There is no news on his condition as yet.
