Racing NSW have today announced a boost in prizemoney for Australia’s premier four-year-old race, The Golden Eagle.
Already Australia’s second richest race behind The Everest, The Golden Eagle will now be worth a staggering $10 million in prizemoney.
Previously worth $7,500,000, the extra $2.5 million comes from additional sponsorship according the a Racing NSW statement.
10% of the prizemoney will also be donated to a charity of the owners choice as has been the case in previous years.
The Golden Eagle 2022 will be run at Rosehill on Saturday, 29 October 2022.
