Leading International hope injured, out of Caulfield Cup

One of the leading International hopes in this years Caulfield Cup has been withdrawn from the race after pulling up lame in track work.

The imported French horse Port Guillaume who was being trained locally by Lindsay Park will not line-up in next Saturday’s $5m Caulfield Cup after stewards found the horse to be lame.

Owner Edmond Lee purchased the lightly raced stayer from France to target this years Caulfield Cup and the Melbourne Cup which he is now also in doubt for.

Port Guillaume was the fourth favourite in Caulfield Cup odds at $11 whilst he was $31 for the 2020 Melbourne Cup.
